Unlike Field Groups, Support employees all enter their own time on timesheets.  The timesheets have six primary features:

  1. View - Timesheets can be displayed in either a Daily or Weekly view.  For support staff, the weekly view is most useful

  2. Payroll Group - You will not typically have to change this, it should default to your current Payroll Group

  3. Pay Period - can be used to change the pay period displayed.  You can also change the pay period by pressing the arrows to the left and right of the dates displayed

  4. Time Entry - cells used to enter hours worked for each row, including "Default Coding" (home department hours), and GL Account (non-home department) time.  Time is entered separately for each day/code for the following:
    • Hours (White SOH, SJC, ROH) - Add time worked for the day to the appropriate row
    • Holiday (Yellow HOL) - Code Company Holiday hours here, only in the "Default Coding" row
    • Vacation (Light Blue VAC) - Code Vacation hours here, only in the "Default Coding" row
    • Sick Leave (Lavender SICK) - Code Sick Leave hours here, only in the "Default Coding" row

  5. Add Jobs/Codes button - select to add additional GL Accounts to your time sheet if necessary.  Jobs and cost codes are not available to general Support Staff, only Engineering and Project Management.

  6. Timesheet Summary - Summarizes total hours for all categories (HRS, HOL, VAC, SICK) for each day, and for the Pay Period totals in the lower right-hand corner.
