Upload Review Drawings into Procore

  1. Prepare drawings for publishing into Procore following the process outline in the Internal Review Process.

  2. Navigate to the Drawings tool for the specific project for which drawings should be published / released.

  3. If not presented with Drawing Areas screen, click on the gray Drawings Area at the top left-hand corner.



  4. Click on 2. LANDMARK REVIEW DRAWINGS area to open this drawings area.



  5. Click on the orange Upload Drawings button to launch the Attach File(s) screen.

  6. Drag all drawing PDF files to be published from your computer into the Attach File(s) window and click the Attach button to move on to the next step. You may also click on the Attach File(s) link to open an file selection window.


  7. Configure the drawings upload by selecting the Set for the drawings or entering a new Set Name. 
    • All review sets should be named "Review Set" followed by the review due date. Example: Review Set 04-09.

    • Click the orange Create Set button to create the new set as needed.



  8. Configure the drawing set by entering Set Date and Default Revision. Click on the arrow next to Advanced Options to expose additional fields. Default Revision should be the internal numerical revision.



  9. Click on the Process button to upload the Drawings. The system will begin processing the drawings and you will receive a notification once the drawings are ready for review and confirmation.

    THESE DRAWINGS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO OTHER UNTIL AFTER REVIEW AND CONFIRMATION.


Review Uploaded Drawings

  1. All uploaded drawings must be individually reviewed to confirm the drawing details such as Drawing Number, Name, and Revision are correct. The review and confirmation process may be started from the Drawing Sets list or by clicking on the set Ready for Review link on the right hand side of the Drawings Tool screen.



  2. A Help Procore Auto-Label Your Upload window will pop-up and allow you to train the drawing OCR system. Use the drop-down menus to specify a valid Drawing Number and Drawing Title from recognized text. Verify that the Drawing Number and Drawing Title correspond to the drawing on the left then click the Confirm and Go To Review button.



  3. Click on a drawing in the list of drawings and confirm the Drawing Number, Drawing Name, and Revision.

    • The Drawing Number and Name / Title should be automatically populated based on the Auto-Label process. Make corrections as needed.

    • The Discipline should be automatically be populated based on the Drawing Number. Make corrections as needed.

    • The Drawing Revision should be automatically populated based on the assigned default revision, or as a incremented number if a previous revision exists for the same drawing. Make corrections as needed.

    • You will see a duplicate revision if the uploaded drawing used the same revision as the previously uploaded version. The newly uploaded revision may be deleted if this happens and the duplicate revision is not a true revision (this may happen if you upload an identically named drawing file multiple times). Click the Delete button to delete the duplicate revision.

    • The Drawing Date will display the Default Drawing Date if specified during the upload process. Make corrections as needed.

    • Click the Confirm button to save the details of the drawing.

  4. At the top of the window, use the drop-down menu to select Publish and Distribute All. This will make the drawings available and send an automatic notification to all the Drawing Log Subscribers.



  5. Repeat this process for all Sets / batches of drawings which have been uploaded.
