The process outlined below may be used for determining the strength and quality of cellular signal on Landmark job sites. This process assumes the process will be completed on a Landmark owned iPhone connecting to the Verizon Wireless network.

  1. Install the Okla SpeedTest app. This app may be installed from the Company Portal app on managed devices or from the Appstore on unmanaged devices.

  2. Disable Wi-Fi on the mobile device used for testing.

  3. Disable 5G on your mobile device.

    • Open the Settings app and tap on Cellular.

    • Tap on Cellular Data Options, and then tap on Voice & Data.

    • Select LTE from the options. These tests should not be performed with 5G enabled.

  4. Launch the SpeedTest app and perform a speed test. Save a screen capture of the test results to your camera roll.

  5. Enter Field Test mode on your iPhone (this cannot be performed on an iPad)

    1. Open the phone / dialer app.

    2. Enter *3001#12345#* and tap the green button to send / make call. This will open the iPhone's Field Test mode which shows cellular signal strength and quality.

    3. Let the phone sit for a few minutes while it gathers data about the networks.

    4. You should see a list of options, one or more should be under the LTE setting. These should be named RsrpRsrqSinr and Rach Attempt.

    5. Tap on the items under LTE heading and looks for values for RSRP and RSRQ. Tap on the bookmark flag next to each and save a screen capture showing the values.

  6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 from the opposite location (inside vs outside the job site office box). The data from both locations will be compared.

  7. Repeat steps 1 through 5 from a phone using another major wireless carrier (ATT, T-Mobile, etc...) if possible.

  8. Send an email with the screen captures of the speed test and cellular information to the service desk for review. Include the Job Number and indicate if the tests were taken outside or inside the job site office box. You may start the email by clicking this link.
